About Us
Accura Electrical Contractor Inc. was founded by Manuel Barrera on March 21, 1990. He purchased his first service van for $2,100 and commenced contracting in the electrical industry. He gradually built the business over the years and is currently a preferred contractor serving a variety of customers in both the private and public sectors. In its more recent history Accura Electrical has served Miami-Dade County by working with several of its entities such as MDAD (Miami-Dade Aviation), MDPH (Miami-Dade Public Housing), MDT (Miami-Dade Transit), MDCPS (Miami-Dade Public Schools), MDCC (Miami-Dade Community College), MDPR (Miami-Dade Parks Recreation), JMH(Jackson Memorial Hospital), Port of Miami to name a few. Accura continues to grow expanding its services and staff to better serve our customers and community.
Our Experience
Miami International Airport
We have been working at MIA since 1996 for various General Contractors and MIA directly. Our work includes; new construction, renovation of existing spaces, security and access systems, powering all manner of equipment and low voltage for communications.
Honeywell
Accura has been a favored subcontractor to Honeywell, as they continue to install the firealarm and the BMS systems at MIA. We typically run conduit and control wiring for their new contracts.
American Airlines Arena
American Airlines Arena continues to attract top drawer entertainment, their facilities need upgrading. Accura has participated in their PBX retrofits.
Bank of America
In South Florida Bank of America has been adding many new locations. We take care of providing power, data and security for these new installations.
